Ronni & Maile Collmer
Ronni and Maile have been working together in real estate for as long as Maile can remember. In fact, we have a picture of Maile, as a toddler, standing next to her mom’s “For Sale” sign in Hawaii, where Ronni first worked as a Realtor. Back on the mainland, Ronni stayed out of real estate just long enough to get her kids all into school and to attain a Bachelor of Liberal Studies degree.
By 1990, she was selling homes again and became very involved with the Contra Costa Association of Realtors by being on their Education Committee. She also served as the President of the Contra Costa Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors in 1997 and as the State Governor of WCR in 1999. Meanwhile, Maile became involved with the Concord Blue Devil Drum and Bugle Corp and soon was loving the performance standard and unique camaraderie of that group. She traveled all over the United States and even Europe winning International Awards for four years. When Maile finished her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 1997, she joined her mom in business. Maile has served as the Vice President-Membership of the Women’s Council of Realtors for two years and is on the National Marketing Committee. The designations indicated after their names – GRI, LTG, and CRS – show that they take their business seriously.
To earn these designations, it takes significant time and money and requires not only higher levels of productivity but community involvement. Ronni and Maile believe in community responsibility and are both very active in the American Association of University Women, where they have worked for scholarships for college students and community awareness of issues effecting women, children and families. “Helping people become homeowners is a wonderful job. It is so satisfying when your clients achieve the security that homeownership offers. We have the best of all worlds, because as we help people achieve their real estate goals, we are helping to strengthen families and our community. This is a win-win occupation, and we are so lucky to be in this kind of business.
